Frankonia builds additional premium city quarters in exclusive Düsseldorf location
Right in the heart of old-town Düsseldorf - between Hofgarten/Grabbeplatz and the Rhine Embankment Promenade am Burgplatz a new premium city quarter with exclusive doorman apartments, representative offices, luxurious hotels, serviced apartments and restaurant and retail spaces are being developed by Frankonia.
The ca. 17.000 sqm sized property block between Mühlenstraße, Liefergasse, Ratinger Straße and Neubrückstraße is currently still occupied by the District Court of Düsseldorf. Once the court moves to the new Justice Center at the end of 2009 Frankonia will commence with the redevelopment and new development works.
A total of ca. 80,000 m2 gross floor area will be developed. 20,000 m2 of this area are allotted to the buildings of the old Council Court, that are considered historic and monuments under protection and that will be preserved, restored, and integrated into the new development plan. Frankonia realizes this project in collaboration with the Austrian Immofinanz AG.
Construction starts in 2010 and should be completed by 2013.
